Three Ombudsman Complaints and a High Court Legal Challange.

THREE OMBUDSMAN COMPLAINTS AND A HIGH COURT LEGAL CHALLANGE.
23rd April 2015.

Today the Charity and Trust received a final letter from the Hastings Borough Council Planning Department in regard to their complaints.

This is now the second complaint to the Ombudsman made by the Trust and Charity. They have learned another organization who has made a complaint to Ombudsman which is currently being investigated and learned from the Hastings Observer News Paper that Mr Carlyle who it seems has taken out a Judicial Review in regard to Legal Challange over The Gateway Road. Today this makes three organizations with complaints to the HBC Planning Department on separate matters. The Trust and Charity is dissatisfied with this response and a complaint has been lodged.

The Charity and Trust was informed by email from Secretary to Head of Housing and Planning Services that:

"Rotten Situation’.
Andrew Palmer has noted the contents of your email, but has nothing further to add to his previous reply. If you remain dissatisfied then it is your entitlement to refer this complaint to the Local Government Ombudsman, see link below

Consultation for Inspectors Preliminary Findings is Now Closed

27th March 2015
THE CONSULTATION FOR THE INSPECTORS PRELIMINARY FINDINGS IS NOW CLOSED

THIS CONSULATION IS NOW CLOSED.
Thank you for taking part in the last consultation for the Inspectors Preliminary findings. All of the Responses have now been forwarded to the Council which will be sent to the Inspector. This consulation has been a difficult one with another organisation making statements that the Woodland Speckled Wood was saved when it was not the case. The Observer has run some fabulous storys but a complaint has been made to them regarding the slanderous comments from unidentified people missusing the Hastings Observer Comments page. A Freedom of Information request has also been made. We have asked the Hastings Observer to print a retraction regarding the posting these comments in their newspaper. The Friends of Speckled Wood Managment Trust and HMRC Charity will be making further Representation with these Responses through Program Officer . This Response will and should be available on the Hastings Borough Council website after the 27th March 2015.

This is now the fith consultation organised by the Friends of Speckled Wood Management Trust. The Old website www.friendsofspeckledwood.org.uk we were using is no longer in our control and we would be grateful for you to remove it from your bookmarks. Our main website is now at http://www.friendsofspeckledwoodmanagementtrust.org.uk and we will remain at this address.

The Inpsector will now have chance to review the consultation Responses and make his final report. It is unknown whether there will be a further consulation to ratify his full report and this will depend on factors at the time and whether The Inspector has taken on board all of your comments. Hopefully there will be a decision in May 2015 due to Purdah. In the meantime please carry on enjoying Speckled Wood.

MP Amber Rudd visited the stand on two occasions as she was in the Centre talking to the mebers of the Public. Speckled Wood has not been saved as you are being told .

The Inspector has only announced Preliminary findings which do not protect the entire Woodland. One example of this is the For Sale sign now on the Clifton Road Village Green. The Consolation we are currently running is one of the most important to date. For the complete protection of Speckled Wood / Upper Ore Valley the Public Examination Inspector has to make comment on the entire estate in line with the Cabinet decision. It is nearly too late there is only fifteen days are left to give your response.

The Trust has a table in the Priory Meadow this Saturday all day to collect Reponses. The current Response numbers have been low only 168 Reponses received to date. The Hastings Observer was asked to run a story but they have not managed to print this week due they say to time constraints. We hope to see you at the Priory Meadow Centre on Saturday 9:00 till 5:00pm
